WebIt uses an animal trap instead of a cage, but after catching them, you'll have to put the vermin in a cage to release it (via lever) after you tame it via "Tame Small Animal" anyway. You don't need to capture a Demon or Forgotten Beast in a cage trap to start a silk farm - all you need to do is trap it in an area such that it can shoot its webs but not otherwise bother you.
