WebASReml, a statistical package that flts linear mixed models using Residual Max- imum Likelihood (REML), is a joint project of NSW Department of Primary Industries1and Rothamsted Research2. It provides a stable platform for deliv- ering well established procedures while also delivering current research in the application of linear mixed models. WebASReml can read the matrix M associated with a factor and group of regressor variables from a .grr file, construct a GRM matrix ( G=MM'/s ), fit the equivalent model and report both factor and regressor predictions.
